Collection: Fun and Easy to Grow Cacti and Succulent Collections

Grow a stunning variety of robust desert dwellers!  Cacti and Succulents are easy to sprout and grow!  Learn all about these very useful plants that require very little water and care.  They last for years and are so much fun to grow!  These are some of the most rewarding and fulfilling plants to grow for a variety of reasons.

While all plants naturally conform to their environments to limit their growth, cacti and succulents are the best at it.  Gardens can literally be grown for decades.  They are quick to sprout and very low maintenance in that they require very little water.  Succulents and cacti are very used in many ways as you may read below.  One of the most interesting things about Cacti is that they absorb and use electromagnetic waves to grow!

Cacti
The cacti mix contains some of the most beloved and well-known cacti including the Giant Saguaro, Golden Barrel, Compass Cactus and Pincushion Cactus.  They store water in their fleshy barrels and are protected from animals with spines.  Their unique structure minimizes water loss due to evaporation.

When European explorers first encountered cacti they were shocked by their unusual appearance and thought they must have come from outer space!  However, not only were these plants at home, the were and are a home to many desert birds, insects, and animals.

Cacti are used to make food, drink, medicine, building materials, cosmetics, and more.  They are used to make living fences, in religious ceremonies, and in cleaning products!  Some cacti can take up to 25 years to bloom and make seeds!  Cacti produce millions of seeds each, but only a tiny percentage will end of somewhere conducive to germination!

Succulents
Cacti are actually subset of the larger Succulent grouping.  The deluxe mix contains well known succulents such as Aloe, Ponytail Palm, the Century Plant, and Joshua Tree.  They are characterized by their ability to store water in hot, sunny climates.  These plants are also extremely useful to humans and wildlife alike!

What is really interesting about these plants is that they naturally “bonsai.”  This means that they will only grow as big as the environment they are in will let them, whether it is a pot, a crack in a stone, or out in the wide open.  As a result, the same plants can appear small or grow to amazing heights simply depending upon where they are growing!
